I belong to a Walking Group and I spotted this twisted tree in Richmond Park. It was a beautiful Autumn day although in November and the deer were there too – coming into the mating/rutting season. It was a challenging walk through deer and up and down steep hills. I would have liked to have got a better view of the tree but I could not afford to get too far behind. Luckily there are one or two older members who are glad of the chance to slow down! (I noticed the leader had his binoculars this week.) I loved the beautiful autumn colours of the trees and the ferns and the vistas from the hilly sections of the walk.
