This is one of the images I took when we visited Knole Park. It was in the Orangery. Imagine my disappointment when I loaded my photos for the day and found I had 2 images of the statue above but one had a piece of the arm missing and the other had a piece of the foot missing. I asked someone at the Club if I could merge the two to get a complete version of the whole statue. He promised to help. As I was about to send the images to him I remembered ‘Photomerge’ and tried that. It worked. It ‘stitched the 2 images together’ and even filled in the missing background. I processed the image in Silver Efex Pro 2 and added a black border. What caught my eye was the play of light on the bodies and the shadows adding to the effect of the beautiful carving.
