We have been on a Rail Journey holiday in Scotland. This photo is of the rainbow neon lights on a bridge in Inverness. Inverness was our base and we spent 3 nights there. We did not see much of Inverness in daylight but we had a walk the first night we were there as we had spent 8 hours in the train on the journey from London. Our 2 trips took us to Kyle of Lochalsh which is on the west coast of Scotland opposite the Island of Skye. Our second trip was to Thurso on the north coast of Scotland. The scenery on both trips was stunning. I loved the lochs and the blue mountains and the hills were covered in autumn colours. On our way back to Inverness from Thurso the sunset on the coast was beautiful. We stopped off at my birth town of Dundee on the way home and visited my family. We had some misty mornings and clear blue skies and sea.
