Week 36 – 42. Silhouette

Turks boatyard runs river trips between Richmond and Hampton Court. The boatyard is in Kingston on Thames. Below is the image for the theme and another image of the ‘Yarmouth Belle’ which is in the Boatyard for the winter.

“Turk Launches stand proudly as one of Kingston’s longest family run businesses. Established in 1710, they have over the centuries built boats for royalty as well as export pleasure craft around the world.

Now run by 4th generation Richard Turk, their striking fleet of boats cruise thousands of passengers each year to the riversides of Richmond, Kingston and Hampton Court.

2012 saw their two most glamorous boats, the Yarmouth Belle and New Southern Belle take part in the Diamond Jubilee Royal Pageant – see interview with Sky News here. And then just two months later, they led the Olympic Torch flotilla from Hampton Court Palace, along with the Royal Row Barge Gloriana. Watch here
